About Robin Schauffler

Robin Schauffler writes and teaches high school in Portland, Oregon. She has traveled in all 50 US states as well in Chile, Mexico, Cuba, and Central America. From 1997 to 2000 she and her husband Peter lived and worked in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. She has written a memoir of those years, as yet unpublished. Her work has appeared in Open Spaces, Street Roots, Oregon English Journal, Oregon Quarterly on line, Voicecatcher, The Sun (Readers Write), and on line in Beautiful Things from River Teeth. Two short-short stories received Honorable Mention in Glimmertrain contests; she has earned Pushcart nominations from Open Spaces and Voicecatcher.
