About Peter Samson

Professionally, Peter has been a geologist, a cartographer, an educator, an entrepreneur, a museum curator, project manager, event planner, grant-writer and financial adviser, but never a writer. He's lived in New Jersey, Austria, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, and Mexico, but mostly, and currently, in Portland, Oregon. He's been a casual baseball fan all his life, but baseball inspired his time in Cuba. It gave him a quest, a way to polish his rusty Spanish, and an authentic path to cultural and conversational immersion.
