About James Ross

After retiring in early 2015 from a career in public health research, Jim Ross resumed creative pursuits in hope of resuscitating his long-neglected right brain. Since retiring, he's published over 20 pieces of nonfiction and over 90 photos (counting six photo essays) in 25 journals, including 1966, Cactus Heart, Cargo Literary, Friends Journal, In the Fray, Lunch Ticket, Gravel, Chicago's MAKE Literary Magazine, Memory House, Pif Magazine, and Sheephead Review. Forthcoming: Apeiron Review, Change Seven, Entropy, Palooka. New grandparents to year-old twins, he and his wife split their time between Maryland and West Virginia.
